Perimeter Gallery is one of the most important and exciting galleries of Chicago. Perimeter opened in Chicago’s River North Gallery district under the Direction of Frank Paluch in 1982. Originally called Perimeter Press, Perimeter was initially dedicated to the promotion of emerging print artists. In 1983 Perimeter Gallery moved to an expanded space and refocused to featuring contemporary Painting, Sculpture, and works on paper by midcareer and emergent artists, as well as master works in Ceramics and Fiber arts. In 1997 Perimeter Gallery moved into a 4000 square foot, AIA awarded space on Superior Street designed by Brininstool & Lynch. Perimeter Gallery currently represents 30 artists and organizes nine exhibitions per year.
