Front of house: Rude and incompetent. She looked like she would rather have flesh-eating bacteria, than be there. In addition to this, we arrived in two different groups, both quoting the same reference, and she seated us in opposite ends of the restaurant.
Rest of staff are lovely and welcoming. Food, when it did arrive, was lovely.
The new function area has the most uncomfortable chairs in the world.

The Carvery was lovely, plentiful and reasonably priced. Kids meals were also nice. Staff friendly apart from a rather abrupt Irish woman who perhaps needs a little extra training in customer service.

No vinegar or eggs just simple ordering of supplies seems an issue ... service was good though

Steer clear of the "Roast Potatoes" and you should be fine. Recommend the bbq ribs, they were falling apart from being so well cooked. Service is good and waiting times were very reasonable. Due a reverb in Oct or Nov 2017 so will be worth a look again once this has been done.

This place has so much potential, went to the white cliffs nearby so remembered this place on the way home, from coming here once several years back. The place looks tired in parts, especially the seating/ furniture.Carvery was dry and the roast potatoes had been there since I was a child, reheated. The barman was great and very attentive, the guy serving the carvery had limited social skills at best. The whole place needs some love, and it needs to feel like somewhere people would want to spend a lazy Sunday having a roast at or a Saturday night out with friends. At best this is a very lukewarm place in an off the beaten track industrial estate in Dover. Sometimes you just can't dress something up to be what it isn't.
