It was a nice note. Good clean amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have preferred a better food selection on the menu as most of it was fried in some form or another. Also, the hotel had no hot water for the first 3 days, they were waiting on a part/engineer from NZ to fix it.

I want to say that this met my expectations - afterall it was fairly expensive. However we were sorely disappointed with the level of cleanliness in our room and for something that was fairly new, it had already started to look dated and run down. The pool area was smaill given the size of the place and the menu was average. The chicken nuggets were the best thing on the list. With all the great produce available I couldn't understand why they served potato chips and not kasava and taro chips .. why there wasn't more local cuisine when they had the expertise and ingredients to take Tongan food to the next level. Pasta with a creamy sauce .. in Tonga. Seriously. It made no sense. The F&B staff were average except the breakfast shift who always had a smile and went over and above to make sure we had what we needed. We've travelled through out the Pacific and it is always sad to learn that local people work twice as hard for half as much. Tonga is no exception.
The location was great though. An easy stroll in to the town centre and a good walk to the markets. Nothing outstanding. We hope our next visit will be better.

Nice and renovated place. Good pool. Food was ok also especially Fish & Chips at the Pool Bar which was made from fresh large chunks of tuna. Delicios...

Went to the hotel for dinner only. Quality was good as was the service. Would happily go again.

Nice start to my relationship with Tonga 🇹🇴 as was my first trip and stayed at dateline/Tanoa.
Lovely friendly staff and my first dinner was amazing!! I'm really fussy with coffee but made to order and Rachel's coffee is excellent she listened to what I wanted.
Definately stay again here again. Rooms basic but comfortable, apparently typically Island style without bedside lamps but has air conditioning thank goodness!!
The pool is sublime, sad to leave !
