We brought our international friends there after a long city tour. The food is simply amazing. They serviced us Thai curry rice, goat cheese penne, delicious Gigi burger and Arabic wrap. The portion is big, ingredients are fresh, the ambience and food presentation are top class. Not to mention the friendly waitress, who was very patient and friendly even when our guests were struggling slightly with the menu and ordering due to language.

We were positively impressed with this hidden restaurant in maxvorstadt. We would definitely recommend it to a group of friends of diverse background and taste buds!

This was the worst experience with a waiter ever. His behavior was impertinent, arrogant, hence highly unprofessional. My gf and me wanted to spend a nice evening and went to Schmock. There most of the tables were empty and the waiter (who frightened us, while coming from behind and yelling at us before welcoming us ) said we may choose any of them.
We took a table and the waiter came and told us in his very arrogant way, that we exactly took the table which is reserved. After my reply, that he told us all tables are free he said I shouldn't take all his words for serious.
We wanted to change and chose a slightly bigger table for three. He said since we are two we should take a table for two and not any bigger one - unfortunately in a very unfriendly way again. (It was 9.30pm on a weekday - so very unlikely, that many more guests without a reservation would come.)
We left the location and will never come back!
