Great restaurant. Exceptional service, and wonderful food. Kastenmeiers is a great change of pace from the usual German cuisine of sausage, schnitzel, and chicken.

Absolutely five star seafood restaurant. From the food, to service, and decor. We were greeted by a host that showed us to our table, and a team of waiters took care of us the entire night. From the minute we entered they recognized that we did not speak German, so they gave us a English menu and very carefully explained the menu, specials and service. After we chose our meal, they assisted us in picking the right wine, and allowed us to sample the wines to ensure we chose the perfect wine for out meal. No detail was left out. This is not a cheap restaurant, so if you are in a budget consider viewing the menu on line before you go. A must if you are in Dresden and love seafood.

I would recommend the surprise menu. However the service was super slow.
